Current IMRA Cycle

Instructional Materials Review and Approval (IMRA) Cycle 2026 will include a review of instructional materials for K–12 fine arts, certain courses in 6–12 Career and Technical Education (CTE), and K–5 supplemental reading language arts (RLA), in addition to the previously reviewed subjects and grade levels from IMRA Cycles 2024 and 2025. 

IMRA Process  

The IMRA Process document outlines the multi-step IMRA process, detailing the roles and responsibilities of the State Board of Education (SBOE), Texas Education Agency (TEA), education service centers (ESCs), stakeholders, reviewers, and publishers throughout the review cycle. 

Request for Instructional Materials (RFIM) 

The RFIM for IMRA Cycle 2026 includes details and directions about the IMRA process for interested publishers. Publisher applications have been submitted, and the instructional materials selected for review have been selected.
