Current Cycle | IMRA 2025

Instructional Materials Review and Approval (IMRA) 2025, the current IMRA cycle, will focus on reviewing instructional materials for the following subjects and grade bands:

  • K–6 full-subject, tier-one English Language Arts and Reading (ELAR)
  • K–6 full-subject, tier-one Spanish Language Arts and Reading (SLAR)
  • K–3 partial-subject, tier-one English and Spanish phonics
  • K–12 full-subject, tier-one and supplemental Mathematics

Instructional Materials Under Review

Instructional materials selections for the IMRA Cycle 2025 review have been finalized. The IMRA Cycle 2025 Instructional Materials Selection Dashboard​ has a live list of instructional materials currently under review. Submitted instructional materials are available for public review.

The public comment period ended on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. The form will remain open to accept any public feedback; however, publishers are not required to respond to any feedback submitted after the deadline.

Once a subject is selected, a pop-up message will be presented with an end-user license agreement acknowledgment. Consent must be granted to view materials.

Provide Feedback on Submitted Instructional Materials 

Written Feedback

Texas residents are encouraged to submit written comments, report suspected errors, and/or share any suitability concerns about instructional materials under consideration for approval in the IMRA process, per 19 Texas Administrative Code (TAC) §67.33. Copies of written comments are provided to the State Board of Education (SBOE) and the publisher and are posted on the SBOE’s website.

Oral Testimony

The SBOE is planning to hold a public hearing in September* to give the public an opportunity to provide oral testimony about the materials under review for IMRA Cycle 2025. The list of materials will be voted on by the board at the November* meeting. Visit SBOE to learn more.
