Future IMRA Cycles
Instructional Materials Review and Approval (IMRA) Cycle 2027 will include a review of instructional materials for K–12 Languages Other Than English (LOTE), additional courses in 6–12 Career and Technical Education (CTE), and Positive Character Traits, in addition to the previously reviewed subjects and grade levels from IMRA Cycles 2024, 2025, and 2026.

Rubrics
IMRA Cycle 2027 will include a review of instructional materials for K–12 Languages Other Than English (LOTE). The following is a draft of the quality rubric that will be presented to the SBOE for approval in September 2026 for use in IMRA Cycle 2027 and the slide deck that will be used during the discussion.

Feedback on Rubrics
Parents and community members, educators, education service centers, and publishers are encouraged to provide feedback on proposed rubrics. Feedback can be provided via an online submission or through attending a focus group.
- The Public Comment period is from April 10, 2026, to June 9, 2026.
