SBOE Member District 11

Board Term: Jan. 1, 2025 - Jan. 1, 2029

Brandon Hall is a Republican member of the State Board of Education. Brandon resides in Parker County with his wife Ashley where he pastors a local church in Springtown. Seven Generations of Brandon’s family have called North Texas home.

Pursuing the call to serve God and his community in ministry, Brandon received a bachelor's degree in Pastoral Theology. While in college, he led a church ministry team that served inner-city youth on Chicago’s South Side. Brandon worked with families of at-risk children to enroll them in a private Christian school, helped them raise money for tuition, and provided mentorship and tutoring for students. It was this experience witnessing the life-changing power of an excellent education in a safe and uplifting environment that sparked Brandon’s passion for reforming public education.

Brandon’s professional experience includes serving as an aide for a member of Congress in the U.S. House of Representatives and other non-governmental roles for elected officials at the state and federal level in addition to his work in ministry. Brandon returned to Springtown to serve as the Youth Pastor of the church he was baptized in as a child. Brandon now leads another local congregation as pastor but remains very involved with the youth of his church including teaching a Bible class for teens. His work with youth has connected him to the concerns of parents and the struggles of students which inspired him to run for a seat on the State Board of Education.

The people of SBOE District 11 in Parker, Hood, Somervell and parts of Tarrant, Dallas, and Johnson counties elected Brandon Hall in November 2024 to represent them on the State Board of Education. Brandon’s mission on the SBOE is to reform Texas public education in order that every student can receive a world-class education in a safe environment.
