Ad Hoc Meetings
State Board of Education Operating Rules, Chapter 1, Section 2 (g), states:
Ad hoc committees (i.e., task forces) may be constituted from time to time as directed by a vote of the board or by the chair to perform such duties as the board or chair may assign. The personnel and length of service of ad hoc committees shall be designated by the chair unless otherwise directed by a vote of the board. No action taken by any ad hoc committee shall be final or binding upon the board unless otherwise directed by a vote of the board. An ad hoc committee shall ensure all meeting materials and reports of the committee are provided to every member of the board and made available to the public immediately following each meeting. An ad hoc committee shall schedule at least one public meeting to receive input and public testimony.
