David Randall is Executive Director of the Civics Alliance and Director of Research of the National Association of Scholars. He was Project Coordinator for American Birthright: The Civics Alliance's Model K-12 Social Studies Standards (2022) and the History of Communism Model State Standards (2024), which both have informed Oklahoma's 2025 social studies standards. His professional works include Credibility in Elizabethan and Early Stuart Military News (2008); (ed.) English Military News Pamphlets, 1513-1637 (2011); The Concept of Conversation: From Cicero’s Sermo to the Grand Siècle’s Conversation (2018); and The Conversational Enlightenment: The Reconception of Rhetoric in Eighteenth-Century Thought (2019). His works of education policy include Disfigured History: How the College Board Demolishes the Past (2020); (ed.) Skewed History: Textbook Coverage of Early America and the New Deal (2021); (project coordinator) The Franklin Standards: Model K-12 State Science Standards (2024); and (project coordinator) The Archimedes Standards: Model PreK-12 State Mathematics Standards (2025).
