Dr. Andrea Hutchison is a sixth-generation Texan dedicated to advancing social studies education for all students across the state. She holds a bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University, master's degrees from Dallas Baptist University, and a doctorate of education from East Texas A&M University.

With extensive classroom experience teaching 7th and 8th-grade social studies in Richardson ISD and Prosper ISD, Dr. Hutchison currently serves as the Secondary Social Studies Curriculum Coordinator for Prosper ISD. Her work focuses on developing critical thinking and historical thinking skills in students, ensuring they engage deeply with social studies content rather than simply memorizing facts.

Dr. Hutchison lives in Prosper with her husband, Jim and their two daughters, Brooklyn (11) and Mackenzie (8).
