State Board of Education Meeting Schedule for 2027

STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION: INFORMATION

SUMMARY: According to the Texas Education Code, §7.106, the State Board of Education (SBOE) is to hold four meetings a year in Austin, Texas on dates determined by the chair. The SBOE may also hold other meetings as may be called by the chair. The purpose of this item is to announce SBOE meeting dates in 2027.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION AND JUSTIFICATION: Advance notice of future SBOE meetings will provide an opportunity for the SBOE, agency staff, and the public to be informed of upcoming meetings and to plan activities accordingly. The following dates for SBOE meetings in 2027 have been scheduled by the SBOE chair:

January 25-29, 2027 
April 5-9, 2027 
June 21-25, 2027 
August 30-September 3, 2027 
November 15-19, 2027
